My English "Home Town"

This is the town I lived near and shopped in back in the day. It is much the same, but the biggest changes are the cafés and restaurants. Thirty years ago there wasn't a cafe/coffee shop culture and most people didn't eat out other than occasional pub meals. The other big change was two big grocery stores side by side. Diss is a village that is medieval and fantastic. We had a fun walkabout and Janice and Peter indulged me in my American photo shoot, even in the grocery store. Yes, I love English cheese.

    Now that's a lot of cheese!
    The town of Diss seems to be far off the beaten path. You and Mary are so lucky to enjoy a part of England most visitors may not see.

    Chris Gibson, Well, The Queen has a home not far from Diss, and Norwich is about forty minutes away. The area dates back to Roman times and Norwich Cathedral is one of the most famous of the Middle Ages. Yes, this is a fun trip, because we are not doing Big Sightseeing, we are doing small and focused playing:)
